It is through the presence of the Holy Spirit within the true saint that Jesus Christ fulfils the mystery/promise of “Christ in you.” Those who believe that we are saved in this life are sure that once one receives the Holy Spirit the Spirit can never leave. However, Jesus, the prophets , the apostles and King David refute this doctrine. David makes it clear in Psalm 51:1,2,11 that receiving the Holy Spirit does not guarantee that it will remain within the believer; neither does it guarantee that one will inherit eternal life. The Scriptures and church history reveal that only a remnant of those who profess Jesus as Savior will spend eternity with Him and the Father. Jesus makes this clear in Matthew 7:13,14).

A primary law of science and spirit states that one cannot lose what one does not have. We are assured that David had been given the Holy Spirit by the following prayer which he uttered after being confronted with his sins: “Have mercy on me, O God …. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquities and cleanse me from my sins. CAST ME NOT AWAY FROM YOUR PRESENCE; TAKE NOT YOUR HOLY SPIRIT FROM ME.” David noted that by taking His Spirit from him, God would be removing Himself from David. God’s Holy Spirit serves as God and Christ on location–Their power in place. The authority to perform acts in places where one is not located does not lie only in the Godhead. God’s anointed ministers can do the same thing.

In 1 Corinthians 5:1-5 we find the Apostle Paul writing about a fornicator whom the church had failed to expel. Paul told them that if they did not deal with the sinner he would send his spirit to Corinth and through his spirit would turn the sinner over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, meaning to kill him. Paul noted in verse 3 that he could not be there in the flesh so he would send his spirit to do the job. Hopefully, before his death the man would return to the Lord and stay with Him until Judgment Day–the “Day of the Lord Jesus” (vs 5).

King David knew his God–the God Who would later come to earth as Jesus Christ. He knew that sin separated him from his God. David knew the Holy Scriptures–God’s Law. He knew that the Prophet Isaiah, writing under the power of the Holy Spirit, had warned that sin separates the sinner from the Lord (Isa. 59:2). Obviously, the sinner has to have the Spirit in order for it to be taken from him. God does not “walk” (is not at one with) sinners. Through the Prophet Amos He askes: “Can two walk together unless they agree?” The sinner does not agree with God and therefore cannot “walk” with Him. The church sinner, like his unchurched counterpart, walks alone, making him easy pickings for the devil. Separation from God leaves the sinner in a spiritual vacuum which Satan quickly fills. Not only does the devil take over the church sinner, he deceives him (Rev. 12:9) into believing that he (the sinner) is walking with the Lord. The sinner accepts Satan’s words for God’s Words and strolls blithely through life “knowing” that he is saved, born again and rapture-ready. And Satan laughs. This perfectly describes the three billion plus deceived souls that comprise the Institutional Church. This ministry is directed toward those who are caught in Satan’s Catholic/Protestant web.
