Christ In You, The Hope Of Glory (Pt. 2)

As the arc angel Michael told Mary, the Holy Spirit is the power of God (Lk. 1:35). The Holy Spirit is the power by which the Word, the God Who came to earth as Jesus of Nazareth (Jn. 1:1-4,14), created the universe. The Holy Spirit is also the power of the God the Father. As I prove Scripturally in the series titled The Trinity, the Holy Spirit is the jointly owned and operated power by which the Godhead (Father and Son) do what they do. A trinity implies that there are three Gods. Nowhere do the authors of the Bible even suggest such a thing. The Holy Spirit is an inanimate entity that has no power of its own, does not think, speak, act, etc. as I explain in The Trinity. Whenever it is stated that the Spirit spoke or did something, it was either the Father or the Son speaking or doing something using their power–the Holy Spirit. With this in mind, let us see how Their Spirit is used by the Godhead to carry out Their will.

Jesus Christ abides in His saints in the form of godly power known as the Holy Spirit. The Spirit, having neither mind nor form, operates only at Their behest. While Father and Son are in heaven, the Holy Spirit is everywhere. When a saint is filled with Their Holy Spirit it is as if They themselves are residing within him/her. King David eloquently explains how the Godhead can be anywhere and everywhere (omnipresent) through Their Holy Spirit.

In Psalm 139:1,7-11 we find King David marveling at the omnipresence of his God (the Word Who became Jesus Christ. See The God of the Old Testament). Here we find David saying: “O Lord …, where shall I go from YOUR SPIRIT? or where shall I flee from YOUR PRESENCE? If I ascend up into heaven, YOU (GOD) are there. If I make my bed in hell, behold YOU are there. If I take wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there YOUR HAND leads me, and YOUR RIGHT HAND shall hold me.” Note that THE LORD (YOU) AND HIS SPIRIT ARE ONE IN THE SAME in the sense that His Spirit is the power of God everywhere. David correctly stated that HIS GOD WAS EVERYWHERE AT ALL TIMES BY WAY OF HIS SPIRIT. In the spiritual realm, what was true then is true now. Jesus does not change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Please read The Trinity for a full explanation of what the Holy Spirit is and how it is operated by the Godhead.

As I have explained in other postings, the idea of a trinity was not heard of in the church for the first 300 years of its existence. The Catholic Church, wanting to appease their “converts” who worshiped a three-headed god, concocted the trinity theory and incorporated it into Catholic doctrine. The first trinity was composed of Mary, Joseph and Jesus. Obviously, the personalities involved have changed over the years. For an extensive presentation of the heathen beliefs and customs that form the foundation of Catholicism, visit my YouTube site at proveallthingsofgod. I recently began a series on that subject.
