Some 20 years ago I was once again addressed by the Biblical God as His “voice” came to me from a familiar source–the Counterfeit Church. Over the past thirty years or so the “voice” of the Almighty has garnered my attention in several ways. One way is to cause me to be in a particular place at a particular time so that I can “hear” Him. In the instance which prompted this and other postings, my mother-in-law was visiting with us in Athens, Texas on a Sunday morning. Being terminally religious, she was listening to a false prophet from Tyler (30 miles away) on television. Purposefully avoiding any contact with the counterfeit church, I was in a back room studying God’s Word when I suddenly became thirsty. As I headed to the kitchen I passed by the living room from whence came the words: “Don’t even try to be righteous; you’ll just make yourself sick.” That Satan-prompted statement stopped me in my tracks. Then the “angel of light’s” popular “minister of righteousness” (1 Cor. 11:13-15) for this area completed his heretical statement by telling his vast audience that trying to obey God was a waste of their time because: “You’re nothing but a society of sinners.” The Lord has led me to use that episode many times when showing the church that she is not and will never be God’s people as long as she remains in Satan’s cesspool known as “the church.” According to Jesus in Luke 10:16, this two billion-strong group of “Sinners Saved By Grace” prove that they despise both Himself and His Father by refusing to believe and obey Their Words, the same words by which they will be judged (Jn. 12:44-50).
How did professing Christendom come to believe that sin is inevitable in the life of a parishioner? and that sin is acceptable as long as the sinner repents, preferably before the next sin is committed. This being too much of a problem, one man “saved up” his sins until a convenient time (probably Sunday), then dumped them all on the Lord at one time. He is the ultimate SSBG who, along with his fellow sinning saints, believe what one pillar of “the church” said: “God doesn’t like sin, but He won’t do anything about it.” According to the church masses, repentance, not obedience, is the key to God’s heart. Obedience, they profess, is a religious joke. Like the false prophet referred to earlier, they reject God’s Words found in First John 3:8: “He who sins is of the devil.” That same devil (Satan) has deceived the Institutional Church into believing that she can sin and still live forever. As he said to her spiritual parents, they can sin and “You shall not surely die.” The formula is as follows. The wages of sin for the unchurched is death; the wages of sin for the churched is eternal life. Convenient, but deadly wrong. If, that is, we can take God at His Word, which the churched say we cannot do.
The God Whose Word church people reject knows the heart of each of the two billion plus SSBG who populate the Institutional Church today. He warns those who seek His will that the church’s sin-repent-sin-repent-sin-repent cycle is an abomination to Him because of the Satanic attitude behind it. In Romans 2:5 He notes that those who continue to sin and repent are not truly repenting. They do not sorrow because of their sin. Rather, they engage in “worldly sorrow” for having been caught in their sin (2 Cor. 7:10). True repentance entails a 180 degree turn from sin, a total reversal of action, thought and word from the path previously trod. True repentance prompts God to forgive the contrite one’s PAST sins (Rom. 3:25). The question then becomes: “Now what?” “What” is a walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. As God says in First John 2:6, if one claims to abide in Jesus Christ one must “walk even (exactly) as He walked” as a man. Nowhere is it written in the Scriptures that Jesus partook of the church’s sin-repent-sin-repent program she touts as His special accommodation for her. According to Catholics and Protestants, He died so that they could sin and get away with it, that His grace is in reality a license to sin. The Apostle Jude (4) warns us about the deadly consequences of this abominable, universally-embraced “truth.” In the next posting we will learn the origin of this most deadly church “fact.” L.J.
