The Book Of Acts (Ch. 17)

The Apostle Paul has traveled to Athens where finds the people worshiping several gods.

Verses sixteen through thirty-four:  Having preached to the local Jews in their synagogue, Paul then walks through the city where he finds the local populace openly practicing polytheism. One of the gods they worship is unknown to them. Taking the opportunity available to him, Paul introduces them to the God they did not know, identifying Him as the God Who made the universe and everything in it, noting that He is also the God Who will judge all men. During his message Paul brings out a doctrine that most people involved in the modern church have chosen not merely to ignore, but to take pride in rejecting–God’s commanded segregation of the races. Students of social science note that most nations have also chosen to reject this command of God. Many of the world’s problems have resulted from this monumental sin.

Paul discusses God’s segregation doctrine in verse 26 where he points out that, even though God made of one blood all nations of men, He separated them and “…determined the boundaries (geographical limits) of their (individual)nations.” And as we will soon see, he gave each nation (“family”) its own language (“tongue”). Let us go back in time and examine this important Godly principle that the world by-in-large has rejected, thereby bringing untold misery upon itself. Today the only people who strictly enforce the Lord’s segregation principle are certain Muslim groups.

In Genesis 10 we find Moses writing about the sons of Noah–Shem, Ham and Japheth–and their families, beginning with Japheth. Having separated the descendants of Noah geographically, God then placed them in specific locations. In verse five we find the descendants of Japheth going their separate ways, each having been given his own tongue (language) and specified nation (land mass). Next we find the Lord doing the same for the descendants of Ham who, as we see in verse 20, are each given their own language and national boundaries.

The remainder of the Holy Bible is written about the descendants of Shem–the progenitor of the Israelite race. Understand this: The Bible is written about God’s chosen people–the children of Israel. The only time Gentiles (all non- Israelite people) are mentioned is when they come into contact with Israelites. In verse 31 we find that the descendants of Shem are placed in geographical locations and given their respective tongues. Verse 32 reads: “These are the families of the sons of Noah, in their (geographical) generations, in their nations. By these (Noah’s sons) were the nations DIVIDED (segregated/separated) throughout the earth after the flood. Today the entire world is populated by the descendants of Noah. An interesting fact is that all wars take place between blood relatives.

It is plainly written and abundantly clear that God deliberately separated the races–Shem (white), Japheth (mongoloid) and Ham (black)–from each other and intended that they remain separated (geographically removed) from each other. Prior to their being segregated, they all lived together and spoke the same language as their parents–Noah and his wife. There is no Biblical evidence that they originally spoke different languages. There is only one reason for the Lord to give Noah’s sons and their offspring different languages and to separate them geographically–to keep them from understanding each other and integrating. This is plainly brought out in the following chapter. Again, God 1) separated Noah’s sons and their families, 2) sent them in different directions throughout the earth and 3) gave them different languages. Why? Obviously, to prevent them from mixing. He knew that integration of the races would produce race mixing which, as the following Scriptures show, He attempted to prevent through forced segregation of the races. As the following posting will show, man had a better idea. Nothing has changed. L.J.
