Since writing the two series dealing with this subject titled The “Voices” of God and The Lion Has Roared; Is Anyone Listening? (key words Voices and Roared respectively), the present realities relative to God’s curse on mankind have grown progressively worse. This is due to two factors: 1) man is growing ever farther away from God and 2) Christ’s second coming is growing ever closer. Jesus promised in Matthew 24:4-8 that His warning curses (known as horse riders in Revelation 6) are riding ever faster and causing ever more death and destruction. Over the past several generations one continues to ride as others rise up and join him. Today they are all four bearing down on mankind with death and destruction in their hearts.

Bear in mind that it was the world’s embrace of the rider on the white horse that caused the other horses to come on the world scene. The white horse rider is Satan who, as Jesus tells us, has conquered nearly all of the world’s people and continues to conquer ever more of them as he uses his false prophets like the expert liar that he is. Today we see all of the horses and their riders growing in both size and power as their leader gains ever more followers who, in turn, influence those around them. The only people who have not surrendered to him belong to God’s tiny, Law-keeping church. However, His saints are in Satan’s cross-hairs. The time will come when only by being taken to their promised place of safety (“her place”) can the Lord’s Very Elect saints be saved.

In the meantime the curses God promised to pour out on Law-breakers found in Deuteronomy 28 are growing ever more plentiful and ever more powerful. We will now examine some of the prophesied curses that are being poured out on Satan’s world, which included the Institutional Church, at this time. As stated in part one, the Word “IF” is the defining factor which determines if one is blessed (vss 1-14) or cursed (vss 15-68) by the Lord. Never forget that IT IS GOD WHO DOES THE BLESSING AND THE CURSING. Note verses 1 and 15 in Deuteronomy relative to the “IF” factor. Read verses 1-14. Now we will begin with verse 15 to relate God’s prophecies to this present world. We will not examine all of the fulfilled prophecies, but only those who are being noted and emphasized in the news media today.

In verses 21, 22 and 35 God promises to send PESTILENCE (disease epidemics and pandemics) upon sinning man as never before. He warns that such diseases will overtake sinners who will not be able to escape them. Being in a church has no effect on who gets blessed and cursed. Over the past few years we have seen the return of several diseases that we thought we had eliminated in the past. These, along with several new plagues, are beginning to appear routinely. COVID served as a wake-up call for what is coming, and coming soon unless man turns to the Lord in the Biblical way, meaning to obey His Law.

In verses 28 and 29 God warns that He will smite sinners with MENTAL ILLNESS AND SOCIETAL MADNESS that will cause man to do things that were once seen only in the animal kingdom. During my 84 years I have never seen anything like the craziness taking place in America and elsewhere that has become commonplace. People, including children, are killing strangers for the thrill of it. Stabbings and group violence is at an all-time high. People are attacking other people simply because they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Mass murder is taking place as never before, often followed by the suicide of the guilty party.

In verses 42-44 we are warned that strangers will INVADE OUR LAND and will take what we have worked for. During the previous administration tens of millions of foreigners invaded our country with the government’s help. These people are being housed, fed, educated and medicated at tax-payer expense. They are being placed above American citizens and treated as if we were their slaves, just as the Lord warned would happen.

In verses 48-52 God warns all so-called “Christian nations” that HE WILL SEND NATIONs TO DESTROY THEM. This will take place during the Tribulation Period. Only those who qualified for God’s help will survive the coming world war. Read about the place of safety where they will be taken in the series whose key word is Safety.

In other places the Lord warns of coming natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, droughts, floods, unnatural heat and cold, etc. A recent headline noted that earthquakes are now taking place in “swarms.” According to vulcanologists, some of the world’s volcanoes which have lain dormant for hundreds of years are becoming active. Today we are seeing such so-called “natural disasters” taking place globally as never before. Jesus calls what we see happening “the beginning of sorrows.”

The things that are taking place come as no surprise to God’s true saints who know and believe what he teaches in His Holy Scriptures. Some within His tiny flock are called upon to warn the world. However, we are met with the same attitude as did the Old Testament prophets and the New Testament apostles–unbelief and resentment. No one, including those in the church, want to hear what God says in His Holy Scriptures because His Truths destroy their theology. Rejection of God’s Word has a long history. Adam and Eve leaped into action after being told that God had lied to them. Not even Noah, a preacher of righteousness, could save the entire world from being drowned. Later, the Prophet Jeremiah complained to the Lord that the people were ejecting what he was telling them. God told him to tell them anyway. So I will tell them anyway. L.J.
