The word “continuum” denotes the seamless continuation of one entity into the following entity just as one day evolves into the next day without a hitch.  In the Biblical sense the word describes the continuous historical flow from Malachi to Matthew where there should be no division.  Matthew is simply the continuation of Malachi.  Simply stated, there should be no break between the Old and New Testaments.  A prior series presented an excellent example of a continuum by showing how, since 31 A.D., each of the seven church eras smoothly evolved into the following era without interruption.  This process has continued unchecked unto the present Laodicean era exactly as Jesus prophesied in Revelation chapters 2 and 3.  This series will provide a historical account of the children of Israel from their beginning with the Prophet Abraham to the modern day Church of God which, as Revelation shows, is the final era.

God’s church began with one person–Abraham.  When Christ returns at the end of this Laodicean era she will number only a few thousand more than when she began, exactly as Jesus foretold in Matthew 7:13,14 where He prophesied that over those thousands of years few people would choose to enter God’s strait gate and walk in accordance to His strict, one-way-only Law.  However, many would choose to enter Satan’s wide gate and walk according to his any-way-is-okay way.

In this series we will examine the path the descendants of Abraham (the house of Israel) have taken over the centuries, a path which has brought them to this time in their history, a time in which they collectively call themselves “the church.”  The reader will be informed concerning who and where the people of Israel are in these end times.   A more complete history of God’s chosen people can be found in the series titled Who and Where is Israel Today?  Key word–Today.  (See the section titled NOTICE on the Introduction page to this website for instructions on how to download a particular series.  If interested, write for a list of series titles and key words by using the instructions found in the NOTICE section).  Let us now begin our Scriptural walk through the history of the modern day Church of God.  This church is not to be confused with the denomination that calls itself by that name.  We will examine the history of the Israelite family from its founder (Abraham) to the hundreds of millions of his descendants scattered throughout the world who erroneously call themselves “Christians.”  Ironically, not only do they not know who they are spiritually, they do not know who they are biologically.

Abraham was a polytheist, meaning that he worshiped several heathen gods.  He was born and lived much of his life in Ur of the Chaldees, an area better known as Babylon–the home of many “mystery” religions from which the modern day Catholic/Protestant Church System took many of her foundational beliefs and customs, some of which are listed on the website’s Introduction page.  Babylon is the area where the famous Tower of Babel had been built.  To “babel” means to use many words which, in this case, gave rise to many religions, all of which were based on heathen beliefs and customs, many of which the Catholic/Protestant Church System has wholeheartedly embraced.  One will note that the Great Whore of Revelation 17:1-5 is called “Mystery Babylon.”  Her “daughters” are called “harlots” (whores) because they believe the same doctrines and practice the same customs as does their mother.  Today mother and daughters are called “the church.”  This website is dedicated to exposing this religious system for what it is–Satan’s heathen substitute for God’s holy congregation.

God saw in Abram (henceforth known as Abraham) a man who, upon hearing the Truth, would embrace it and walk in its holy tenants.  As Genesis 12:1,2 reveals, when God spoke Truth to the patriarch he obeyed immediately and without hesitation.  When told to leave his country and go to a land he did not know, “Abraham departed as the Lord had spoken to him.”  In Galatians 3:6-9 we are told that Abraham believed what God told him and it (his faith) was “accounted to him as righteousness.”  “The Scripture” (the Word Who became Jesus of Nazareth–Jn. 1:1-4,14) preached the Gospel to him and he believed it.  Abraham then demonstrated his faith in God’s Words by obeying them, thereby proving that faith is useless without obedience (read James 2:10,14,17,18,20,24,26).  God’s promises to Abraham concerning his descendants (“seed”) were also made to his son Isaac and Isaac’s son Jacob.  Jesus came to earth to confirm the promises made to “the fathers”–Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Rom. 15:8).  In James 2:21 Abraham is called the father of the faithful.  As the Scriptures make clear, the “faithful” include Law-keeping Israelites as well as Gentiles who have become spiritual Israelites by keeping that same Law.

God revealed to Abraham that he would be the father of many descendants and many nations, that kings would come forth from him, and that one of them would be a blessing to all of the families of the earth.  Another of his descendants would become the greatest single nation ever on the earth while his brother would become the greatest company of nations (commonwealth) in mankind’s history.  As Scripture and history have revealed, Abraham’s great great grandsons Judah and Joseph would produce mankind’s Savior and the founders of the United States and Great Britain, exactly as God had promised Abraham.  This is detailed in the Who and Where is Israel series.

The 12 descendants of Abraham who came through his grandson Jacob, whom God renamed “Israel,” became the “House of Israel” about whom the Holy Bible was written.  The Israelites, from Abraham to God’s true church today, have always been and continue to be today God’s “chosen people.”  The Bible was recorded to, for and about the Israelite people.  Biblically, Gentiles are mentioned only as they came into contact with the people of Israel.  As I have shown before on this website, the people who make up what are known as the world’s “Christian nations” today are primarily Israelites.  These are the modern day descendants of Abraham through Issac, Jacob and his 12 sons.  The world’s Christian nations are populated, and in most cases are led by the descendants of the patriarch Abraham.  For this reason most true Christians are in fact the modern day biological descendants of Abraham.  Gentiles who have become spiritual Israelites by worshiping and obeying the Biblical God have become Abraham’s spiritual descendants and joint-heirs with them.  As this series will prove, every promise God made to Israel applies to spiritual Israelites (converted Gentiles) as well.REGARDLESS OF THEIR BIOLOGICAL HERITAGE, ALL WHO BELIEVE AND OBEY THE BIBLICAL GOD ARE FELLOW-HEIRS WITH JESUS CHRIST.  L.J.
