Why do modern American Moralists hate the Holy Bible?  The answer revolves around one consideration: CONTROL.  Those who look to the Bible for guidance and obey the Lord’s message are in reality controlled by Him through His indwelling Holy Spirit which empowers them to overcome Satan’s lure to disobey His message.  True saints are not their own; they were bought with a price and owe their allegiance to their rightful Owner–Almighty God (1 Cor. 7:23).  Jesus of Nazareth set the perfect example of this spiritual “walk” (1 Jn. 2:6).  He said that He did nothing on His own power, that everything He did and said He saw His Father do and heard His Father say (Jn. 5:30).  Even the Son of God was totally dependent on the Father as He voluntary subjected Himself to His Father’s CONTROL.

Modern man, including Catholic and Protestant man, rebels against external control on both the social and the spiritual level.  Just as crime (rejection of social control) is up, so is sin (rejection of spiritual control).  What control-rejecting man does not realize is that he is controlled (manipulated) by an external force–Satan–who INFLUENCES his (man’s) will.  Read “God’s Good Pleasure and the War of the Wills.  Use “Pleasure” as your key term.  SATAN CANNOT MAKE A PERSON DO WHAT HE/SHE DOES NOT WANT TO DO.  Satan had no power to make Adam and Eve eat the forbidden fruit.  He manipulated their personal will by telling them that they could sin and still inherit eternal life.  They were in control of their respective wills; they simply willed to do what Satan TEMPTED them to do.  To disobey God (sin) was not a spur-of-the-moment decision.  They undoubtedly discussed the matter, decided to check out the tree, walked to where the tree was located, looked at it, approached it, took of its fruit and ate.  EVERYTHING THEY DID WAS VOLUNTARY ON THEIR PART.  At any point in the process from the moment Eve heard Satan’s words to the point of biting into the fruit, one or both of them could have changed course and Satan could have done nothing about it.  Nothing has changed over the millennia.  Satan cannot change one’s will by force.  He can only ENTICE man to change his (man’s) will through well -orchestrated MANIPULATION of the circumstances that surround his target.  For example, a man who is addicted to pornography and wanting break his addiction might find a Playboy magazine that someone had “accidently” left on a park bench, or he might “unexpectedly” see an advertisement for an x-rated movie or dvd.  Satan cannot force him to read the magazine or watch the movies.  He can only lay traps.  Man must choose to walk into them.

Unregenerate man hates God’s Word because it is unchanging and absolute.  It has remained the same over the past 6000 years and allows no alternatives to its dictates.  Unconverted man does not like to take orders.  “Freedom” is his mantra.  The Lord offers freedom to all men relative to His Book of Commands.  Man has the freedom to 1) take it as it is (the Lord’s way),  2) change it to suit individual or group desires (the church’s way), or 3) reject it (the world’s way).  God views numbers 2 and 3 as equally sinful and therefore separated from Him (Isa. 59:2).

The new morality changes over time.  What was once forbidden may now be encouraged; what was once tolerated may now be intolerable.  The new morality is also contradictory.  There is no need at this point to explain the contradictory social norms are “right” in the eyes of new moralists as they are constantly paraded before us by the New Moralists and their media publicists.  Instead, let us end this series by examining the new norms as they relate to religion and things of the spirit.

The United States of America was founded on the principles laid out in the Holy Bible.  For the first 200 years or so its dictates formed the foundation of the national mind-set.  All other religions were considered amoral, even Satanic.  Then the national attitude began to change.  Eastern religions became acceptable–moral.  African tribal religious practices became the rage.  Native American spirituality became acceptable.  Even Islam, with its forced marriage, forced female head coverings, forced female genital mutilation and the murder of homosexuals became moral.  In fact, all religions and religious practices have recently become not merely accepted, but preferred and exalted over one religion in particular–Christianity–which is now immoral and unacceptable.  This type of religious heresy has ancient roots.  In Isaiah 5:20 the prophet wrote: “Woe to them that call evil good and good evil; that call darkness light and light darkness; that call bitter sweet and sweet bitter.”  This is what we are seeing take place today as so-called Christianity has opened its doors to welcome all kinds of Satanic, heathen religious practices and beliefs.  It’s all good, we are told. There is coming a time, and soon, when, as Amos 8:12 tells us, man will run to and fro in search of God’s Word but will not find it.  Why?  Because, as Revelation 12:16 tells us, the U. S. Government will declare God’s true saints persona non grata and will force them to leave the country.  Read the previous half-dozen or so series.  With His people safely ensconced in their place of safety, God will loose the Great Tribulation upon this sin-saturated world, specifically the United States–the One Nation (supposedly) Under God.  This time of unbelievable terror, destruction and death will be followed by the Day of the Lord which will make the horrors of the Tribulation pale by comparison.  During this time God’s Word will not be heard, nor will there be Bibles to read.  To add salt to the wound, His two witnesses will torment the people of the world for 3 1/2 years by reminding them of why God is punishing them (Rev. 11:3).  Instead of focusing on sweet baby Jesus in the manger, religious man should be focusing on the Lion of the Tribe of Judah who is about to roar.  L.J.
