Why is God pouring out His wrath on the United States of America? This question is being asked by people throughout the world. Even non-religious people are wondering what is going on in the supposed “ONE NATION UNDER GOD” in whom that nation supposedly “TRUSTS.” Daniel 8:12 provides the answer. Here God is tell Daniel what He is going to do to Israel in the distant future and why He will so severely punish His end-time Bible-toting, Scripture-quoting, church-going people. The reason?–“because of transgression.” Recall that God defines sin as: “THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW” (1 Jn. 3:4). In Daniel 8:23 He warns that during the latter days transgressors (sinners) will reach their maximum sinful condition, meaning that they will manifest their iniquity to the limit. Recall that there was a time when mankind had become so sinful that God killed everyone on earth except Noah and his family (Gen. 7) End-time sin will be even worse and more pervasive that that. What is taking place today is beginning to resemble man’s spiritual condition “as in the days of Noah” (Mat. 24:37-39). The world is watching as GOD PUNISHES AMERICA, AND TO A LESSER DEGREE, OTHER SO-CALLED “CHRISTIAN NATIONS” FOR THEIR MANY SINS (INIQUITY–LAWLESSNESS). At this time we are witnessing what Jesus called “… the beginning of sorrows” (Mat. 24:8). God’s “voices” (curses) are ringing loud and clear. Is anyone listening? As I have written in previous series, I believe that the Lord is returning Donald Trump to the presidency in order to put the nation back on track economically, militarily, politically, etc. However, that will save neither the church nor the nation she leads. Donald Trump is not a spiritual leader. That is the job of the Lord’s true apostles, few though they be. IF AMERICA AND HER RELIGIOUS SYSTEM ARE TO SURVIVE THEY MUST TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS AND WALK IN THE RIGHTEOUSNESS THE LORD REQUIRES IN ORDER TO RECEIVE HELP IN THIS LIFE AND SALVATION IN THE NEXT LIFE. Read First John 2:6 and Revelation 3:21.

Look for things to get better on the individual and national levels upon Trump’s return to power–but only temporarily. In order for America to survive she must undergo a total and permanent spiritual change. The “revivals” that are taking place throughout the land will quickly fade from view as the people return to the false Christianity that has been practiced for generations within the church system which has led the nation into the cesspool in which both church and nation wallow today in the Laodicean era of history.

Prophecy tells us that, in spite of God’s blessings upon the nation, true and lasting change will not take place in America, England and the other self-professed Christian nations. Satan has too powerful a hold on the global church system and here host nations. Led by the church which will return to full apostasy mode, the nations will quickly return to business as usual. Following a brief time of zeal and religiosity, church and national apostasy (falling away from God) will increase in both speed and scope . For a look at America’s (modern Israel’s) dark future, let us return to the past–to the Book of Ezekiel.

Ezekiel was a prophet to Israel approximately 100 years after Israel ceased to exist as a nation. Having been defeated and scattered throughout the world, she had become known as “the lost ten tribes of Israel.” The prophet’s writings were intended for Israel’s instruction in the “latter days” of the world (1 Cor. 10:11/ Heb. 4:2). Through Ezekiel’s writings God is today speaking to spiritual Israel (the church–Gal. 6:16) and the Israelite nations in which she exists. In 3:7 He prophesies that: “the house of Israel (including the church) will not hearken unto you (Ezekiel), for they will not hearken unto Me; for those in the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.” For confirmation of this Truth, read Revelation 3:14-18 where Jesus describes the modern-day church–the Laodicean (final) era of church history. And remember, as goes the church, so goes the nation.

In verse 11 Ezekiel refers to “those in captivity,” meaning the Jews who were at that time being held in captivity in Babylon, which was a physical type of the spiritual captivity of national Israel (America, England, the Jews of the Middle East and all other self-proclaimed Christian nations) today. As was the case anciently, modern Israel is controlled by Satan the devil. Those in “the church” are the Laodiceans of this final age. These are they who call Jesus their “Lord” but refuse to obey Him. Read Matthew 7:21-23, Luke 6:46 and John 15:13,14. Truly, “Satan has deceived the whole world” (Rev. 12:9), including the church world.

Great tribulation is coming on America and the world’s other counterfeit Christian nations. As I have written on several occasions, a mini-tribulation will take place in the near future as a warning from the Lord. In the previous postings of this series I refer to that short period of time as the church’s civil war during which the sheep and goats in the church will become even more at odds with each other than they are today.

During the mini-tribulation God’s sheep, operating under the power of the Holy Spirit, will be victorious in their war against the goats until He takes them to their place of safety. Then the Great Tribulation will begin and last for 2 1/2 years, during which time Satan will reveal his hatred for mankind by wreaking havoc on mankind, including the church’s so-called “SINNERS SAVED BY GRACE.” Following this horrific period the world’s sinners will experience a brief period of darkness during which God will put on a heavenly light show. Following that will come the GREAT AND TERRIBLE DAY OF THE LORD (Joel 2:11), a one-year period during which God will pour out His wrath on sinners. During these two attacks on sinning man–billions of whom will have been church people–God’s Very Elect saints will be living in safety in “her place,” which I believe will be in Petra–a mountain range located in Jordan. Following that period Christ will return to earth, destroy His enemies and establish an unending era of peace and holiness. Read The Three Resurrections and The Kingdom of God. The future of America will look something like this: There will be a time of national improvement on all fronts. A time of “revival” to churchivity and religiosity will take place and briefly flourish. A time of famine will then come upon the nation and the world. There will be a small group of people (God’s saints) will not suffer as will the rest of mankind. The world, led by the false churches, will blame the saints for the world’s intense suffering. They will convince the world’s governments that the holy ones are the cause of the suffering. The governments will come against them. God will display His power through signs, wonders and miracles as never before. This will cause His enemies to issue death sentences for the Very Elect. That is when God will take His people to their place of safety. Then the Great Tribulation will begin.

” The goats will hate the sheep and will come against them with the power of their respective national governments behind them. Led by the false prophet (the reigning pope), they will make war with God’s true saints–and lose. God has shown me that during this short period His true apostles will perform miracles that will make the Book of Acts pale by comparison.

In Ezekiel 3:18 the Almighty tells His apostles to warn the people. this is why I try to post a teaching (warning) every day and usually do so. His warnings is for His people to be spiritually prepared to go to their place of safety which He tells about in verse 22. Verse 26 warns about a famine of His Word which is prophesied about in Amos 8:11,12. This will follow the latter-day work of those whom God has used to spread His Truth is over (Mat. 24:21,22). Then will come the Tribulation Period describes beginning with Ezekiel chapter 4. See Matthew 24:21,22. This time of terror, destruction and death is described in Luke 21:24 as “the times of the Gentiles.”

Ezekiel chapter five the Lord, through the prophet, describes what will happen to America and, to a lesser degree, those who have followed her spiritual lead. Ezekiel 5:8-27 hits home for those of us who love this once-blessed nation. Read this passage now and let God’s Words sink in. Indeed, “Unto whom much is given, much is required.” America has been given much, and much has been required. Sadly, she has failed to meet her requirement of obedience to God’s Word. She has sown the wind and now must reap the whirlwind.

Though “hell on earth” is coming, Truth seekers do not need to suffer through it. We who know, believe and obey God’s Word need to spread the Word about God’s escape route which leads to and through His Holy Scriptures. God is recreating Himself in those who truly seek Him and love Him and prove it by obeying Him. The choice is ours. Read the series using the key word–Choice. L.J.
