The Scriptures speak of “wounds” suffered by certain people for certain acts. The Almighty identifies both the wounds and the causes of those wounds numerous times in His Word. As He tells us in Isaiah 10:9,10,13, we must diligently study that Word in order to understand both the wounds and their cause. God is consistent. He does not make differences between people. His response toward one is the same as His response toward another (Acts 10:34). In numerous places He tells us that the cause of the various types of “wounds” he inflicts upon man is always the same–SIN. Sin is the breaking of His Law (1 Jn. 3:4). His Law is written in the Book known as the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible IS His Law, which was spoken and recorded by “holy men of old as they were moved upon by the Holy Spirit” (2 Pet. 1:21). All Scripture, we are told in 2 Timothy 3:14-16, is given by the Holy Spirit and is to be used for teaching, rebuke, correction and training in righteousness which is necessary for salvation. Righteousness produces blessings from the Lord. Sin produces curses from Him. Church membership does not factor into this formula that has been recorded repeatedly in His Rules for Living. What you are about to read is summarily rejected by the masses that make up professing Christendom. The fact that billions of religious people have rejected the Words for thousands of years has no bearing on God’s Word, the Word Jesus Christ called “Truth” in John 17:17.
In Exodus 15:26 the never-changing God makes it abundantly clear that He uses physical and mental illness, among many other things, to express His wrath toward mankind because of man’s sins. In Deuteronomy 28:21,22,27,28 He promises to curse sinners with various types of physical and mental disorders because of their disobedience. In Leviticus 26:15,16 He warns that He will punish the sinner with terror, consumption (wasting diseases), eye problems, sorrow of mind, confusion, stolen food, etc. In verses 17-39 He lists many more curses that will result from sin. All promised curses have one thing in common: they are caused by DISOBEDIENCE TO HIS WORD. But unbelievers have a stock response to this truth.
“But Deuteronomy and Leviticus are part of the Old Testament. All that Jewish stuff was done away with by Jesus Christ.” So goes a familiar refrain when the Old Testament is brought up among church people. However, we need to remember that when the Apostle Paul told Timothy that “ALL Scripture is profitable for teaching, etc.” (2 Timothy 3:14-16), the New Testament had not yet been written, and would not come into existence for many years, until all of the apostles had been killed except John. I have proven that the belief about that “Jewish stuff” is wrong on both this website and my YouTube site (proveallthingsofgod). Now let us focus on how America’s drug problem and the Lord’s cause and effect law are setting the nation up for a fall here at the end of the age.
The Book of Revelation, though written in past tense, is a prophecy about the time just before the return of Jesus Christ, an era in which we who are alive today find ourselves. In His revelation (apocalypse–revealing) Jesus reveals to us through John’s writings what life will be like just before His return to earth to correct all of the evil that man has brought upon himself. In Revelation 9:21 and 18:23 we find Him warning us about the results of sins such as murder, fornication, theft and “SORCERIES.” The Word “sorceries” is an English translation of the Greek word “pharmakeia.” This is the word from which we derive the term “pharmacy,” referring to drugs. In 18:23 the Lord proclaims that by sorceries (drugs) the entire world will be “deceived.” We see this deception taking place today as more and more states are being deceived by Satan into removing all legal restrictions surrounding the use of addictive and deadly drugs. Notice how many states are already allowing the use of marijuana for medicinal use and how many are allowing it for recreational use. This is only the beginning. I predict that within five years all 50 states will have legalized marijuana for recreational use. Soon all restrictions concerning all addictive drugs will be removed. Heroin, cocaine, meth, etc. will be legally purchased across the counter. Impossible? Several years ago I told my college classes that homosexual marriage would be legal within five years. My prophetic utterance was met with almost universal unbelief. The U.S. Supreme Court legalized same sex marriage three years later. How do I know that drugs of all kinds will soon be legalized in the United States? God said so. Along with drug legalization the government on all levels will feel the need to protect people from themselves by providing safe areas where drug users–most of the American population–can shoot up, snort, etc. in a protective, sanitized area where medically trained personnel will be available to prevent drug users from harming themselves or being harmed while they visit that other, much nicer world.
Impossible? Let me remind the reader that a few years ago here in Texas a 16-yr.-old boy got drunk, got into his truck, drove the wrong way and killed four people. He was found not guilty because HE DID NOT KNOW THAT DRIVING WHILE DRUNK COULD CAUSE A PROBLEM. The legal slight-of-hand came to be known as the “affluenza defense,” meaning that he was so wealthy that he never had to learn right from wrong, good from bad, etc. It is a short step from this ridiculous scenario to what I described in the previous paragraph. We will soon become a nation of San Franciscos. This, combined with previously unheard-of “natural disasters,” will devastate the nation. Because of her addiction to drugs she will be unable to respond to the disastrous situation. In this way drugs will be the final nail in her coffin. Her rejection of the Lord and His Word will be the cause; her defeat, destruction and enslavement by a foreign power will be the effect. God has decreed it. It will come to pass. L.J.
