The Acts Of The Lord’s Apostles (Ch. 1)

Chapter one verses two and three: In this passage Luke assumes that Theophilus knows about the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Here he addresses the fact that Jesus, having left earth and returned to the Father, then returned to earth where, for 40 days, He taught His disciples “the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.” This is the same message He had preached throughout His days of ministry. Matthew 4:23/9:35 tell us that He went about “…. preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God.” This is a truth that the Institutional Church refuses to acknowledge. Jesus neither preached, nor instructed His apostles to preach a gospel about Himself. The gospel–good news–He and they taught was about the coming Kingdom of God that He would establish on earth that would be headquartered in Jerusalem. The kingdom gospel was to be the central theme of all ministry. If the gospel was to be about Jesus Himself, He would have spent those 40 days saying so. See The Kingdom of God.

Many years ago some in the church decided that the Lord’s way was not the right way, that Jesus Himself, not God’s kingdom, should be the theme of all church ministry. Why? Because it made religious sense. The emphasis on “making sense” proved to be the tipping point in the history of church. From that time on she would be headed into apostasy. Following this redirecting of ministry orchestrated by Satan, church leaders then felt free to reject many other of God’s commands, including the Ten Commandment Law, going so far as to nail it to the cross. Question: When was the last time you heard a message on the Kingdom of God? Have you EVER heard such a message? And if so, did it line up with what the Lord, through His apostles, said about it? I dare say you have not heard such a message, and if you have, I dare say it was not the Biblical version.

The Institutional Church’s emphasis on the person of Jesus has resulted in a “gospel” centered on the “fact” that He died so that church people could sin, get away with it now and go to heaven later. In other words, the wages of church sin is not death as God proclaims, but rather eternal life in a heavenly paradise. This in spite of His command that we get sin out of our lives in order to enter His Father’s kingdom that will be established on earth. And where did such an anti-truth doctrine begin? In the Garden of Eden when Satan convinced Eve that, contrary to what God had told her, she and Adam could sin–eat of the forbidden tree–and “… not surely die.” To the contrary, they could rebel against Him, eat of the tree and inherit eternal life. After all, as Eve noted, the fruit was pleasing to the eye, tasted good and made one “wise.” In other words, if it’s “good” it must be right, regardless of what God says. The church continues to believe that lie, which explains why she flounders in the pit of apostasy in which she now finds herself. Having passed the point of no return, she and the societies she leads will soon feel the heat of God’s wrath as both are cast into the Great Tribulation.

In a recent YouTube posting I confessed that I had tried to find even one church teaching that was Biblically correct. I FOUND NOT ONE. Every doctrine or teaching, though lifted from the Scriptures, has been twisted, torqued, added to or removed from–perverted (Gal. 1:6-9)–to the point that God’s Truth has been removed from it. Is it any wonder that God has turned His back on her and the nations that have followed her lead? L.J.
